A stylish kitchen transformation in Washington
A homeowner based in Washington approached us to completely refurbish her kitchen, aiming to create a bright, modern, and practical space with a touch of luxury. The goal was to deliver a cohesive design that balanced functionality with a refined, contemporary finish.
The project included improving layout and storage and introducing quality finishes to create a space that feels both elegant and effortless to use day to day.
The challenge
While the project was straightforward in scope, it presented a few logistical challenges that required careful coordination. With limited space available for on-site storage, the delivery and handling of materials had to be meticulously planned to avoid disruption.
To keep the programme running smoothly, our team developed a detailed schedule that aligned deliveries and installation stages with precision. This ensured a seamless workflow and minimised inconvenience for the client throughout the renovation process.
Our process
Once the logistics were resolved, we carried out a full kitchen fit, including:
- Removal and safe disposal of the old kitchen through an approved waste carrier
- Installation of a new Wren Infinity Plus kitchen, chosen for its contemporary design and premium quality
- Adjustments to electrical and plumbing services to accommodate the new layout and meet building regulations
- Replacement of the existing radiator with a modern vertical design to maximise wall space
- Installation of LVT click flooring and new skirting boards to provide a durable, cohesive finish
- Finishing works, including plastering, painting, and installation of bespoke glass features to enhance light and texture within the space
The works were completed over nine days, with the project running to schedule and delivered with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in a beautifully finished, high-performing kitchen ready for everyday living.

The result
The transformation has turned a dated, narrow kitchen into a bright, contemporary, and highly functional space. The new layout feels significantly more open and inviting, perfectly achieving the homeowner’s goal for a modern update.
The design features clean white shaker-style base units that instantly lighten the room and create a timeless look. Warm, solid wood worktops run seamlessly along both walls, adding natural texture and unifying the space with a sophisticated finish.
To enhance functionality and maintain a sense of openness, the original bulky wall units were replaced with a single, smaller white cabinet – providing essential storage without crowding the room. Sleek white appliances and a stainless steel extractor hood continue the minimalist aesthetic, while the dark slate-grey flooring grounds the design and adds contrast.
The result is a carefully considered refurbishment that combines practicality with style, transforming a once-restricted space into a fresh, elegant, and easy-to-use kitchen ready for everyday living.
